ANALYTICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL

OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE of THE ENTERPRISES

The Institute of Petroleum Chemistry of Siberian Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences performs the works connected with industrial waste inventory, forecast and differential assessment of the enterprises effect on the environment, forecast of environmental state of a region and generation of complex schemes for the location of new enterprises in a region.

The Laboratory of Environment Analysis studies the chemical pollution of the environment components (water, air, soil) and analyzes the composition of industrial emissions and sewage.

The list of substances analyzed includes the components which are the most persistent and harmful for environment and health, such as chlorine-containing organic hydrocarbons, pesticides, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons including benz(a)pyrene.

The technical competency and independence of the Laboratory has been accredited in the ‘System of Analytical Laboratories Certification’ of RF State Standard (Gosstandart) in accordance with GOST R ISO/IEC 17025 that allows the laboratory to be the arbiter in the arbitration (Accreditation Certificate N POCC RU.0001.510337).

The Laboratory uses the analytical techniques certified at the international and national levels, that is why it may differentially assess the contributions of various enterprises into total pollution of the environment. Thus, an enterprise will be protected from unfounded actions for environmental pollution.

In accordance with the conclusion of the 'Accreditation Commission', the Laboratory has the right to develop and certify the techniques of quantitative chemical analysis for environmental and technological control as well as for the production control including food staff.

The Laboratory of Geoinformatics may forecast economical and technological development of the enterprises on the basis of industrial waste inventory data using algorithms and programs developed.
