A COMPLEX OF GEOCHEMICAL RESEARCHES TO ASSESS THE PROSPECTS OF HYDROCARBON CONTENT

•  Goal and field of application of geochemical researches: facies zoning, assessment of oil generating potential of strata and prospects of hydrocarbon content of the territories.

•  Analysis of the quantitative content of organic matter in rocks; determination of bitumoid factors; kerogen analysis; determination of the composition of hydrocarbons and porphyrins; assessment of the maturity degree of organic matter.

• Identification of oil sources; differentiation of sediments by their landscape identity and degree of catagenetic conversion of organic matter.

Oil-gas geologic zoning of Low Jurassic deposits of Tomsk Oblast  in accordance with the data of geochemical researches

• Original procedures of the study of porphyrins and hydrocarbons composition are applied. 

• The results of the studies performed were used to assess the prospects of hydrocarbon content of Jurassic deposits of Tomsk Oblast.

• The following organisations apply the study results: Committee for Natural Resources of Tomsk Oblast, ‘Tomskgazprom’ JSC.

•  Potential consumers: enterprises of oil-gas industry.

• Approximate price of geochemical studies for one oil-gas bearing area: 500 thou. roubles.
